We liked it, its the food and staff. In fact, the WiFi was a cherry on top. We would come here again, when we stay in Captiva Island: D
-
Ideal base for exploring Captiva Island. The bed is comfortable, really! Hotel is really close to wonderful beach. Lots of great food for meals.
Street was noisy.

This is a hotel go-to for Captiva Island! We appreciated the food and staff, everything was ready for our trip. Great hostess running the property. The king studio suited us: it had climate control, a laptop-compatible safe and a seating area.
-
We really enjoyed drinks and the food of this venue. Close to an amazing beach. Nothing to complain about, we would definitely book again if in Captiva Island...

This hotel was just an enjoyable base for longer stay. Nearby Oasis Pool Bar - grate place to chill out. Wi-Fi worked well in the rooms.

The location was great and the facilities were well taken care of.
Air Conditioning Units cycle on and off every three minutes and they are loud. Makes it hard to sleep.
-
Room was great, very spacious, beuatiful view of the bay from the patio and the Gulf of Mexico from the kitchen. Great breakfast included, lots of choices, not too far from the village of Captiva. We can't wait to go back!!!

I loved the room, even though we had in issue with a water leeking. The front office was helpful. My family and i had a wonderful time and would recommend it to our friends and hope to visit again.

The beach and the convenience of purchasing the use of the umbrella and chairs was nice. The location was nice, however the room was just okay. Our water view of the Gulf was very good.
The shower was very difficult to turn on. Even after they checked it out we still had to push , pull, and pray that the water would come out. The new granite vanity was nice but the bathroom was very disappointing. Mold in the grout was a turnoff.

Sanibel, while beautiful, can be a difficult spot to get public beach access. The Tween Waters Inn was right across the street from the beach.......can't beat that on Sanibel!
-
Hotel staff was so very friendly and helpful. Access to a wonderful beach w cabanas and umbrellas. Good food. It's a large resort but feels very private. It's not 4 or 5 stars but quite comfortable.

I have stayed at 'tween waters twice - with 30 years between each stay. I was really relieved & pleased to see that it hasn't changed much at all, which is a good thing. I stayed at this hotel this time as part of a longer holiday elsewhere in florida, & had to be dragged away, screaming & kicking! 'Tween waters is uniquely situated & still has an unrivalled tropical olde worlde ambience whilst adding some new aspects such as a gym, spa and new accommodation. The cute & romantic wooden cottages are still there, along with the original (refurbished) accommodation blocks. My party's ensuite rooms had fridges, kitchenettes & staggering gulf of mexico views, air con, fans, phones & comfortable beds. Our building had a self laundry, ice, vending machine. The friendly crow's nest bar/restaurant holds 'nascrab' crab racing & entertainment evenings, the a la carte restaurant, old captiva house, serves enormous cooked or continental breakfasts too. Both establishments serve really great food with exceptional service. There's a large pool & bar with snacks, 2 hot tubs, tennis court, a marina where you can hire boats, two shops etc. all of the staff were excellent throughout the hotel, nothing was too much trouble, they made everyone feel welcome. I would say that 'tween waters is suitable mainly for adults, & families with older children. It truly is well worth staying there for the relaxation it affords. I recommend it highly, and can only hope it won't be another 30 years before I return there. It's a little bit of paradise on earth.
The wireless internet is, let's face it, hopeless......you have to sit in reception to get any kind of signal at all. I am considering buying them a new router and taking it there (any excuse for a return visit). However, it is such a lovely place, you sort of forget you ever wanted to be hooked up to the internet in the first place. My advice is, leave the laptop and phone at home.......!

Very tastefully decorated & very clean! Loved all the water, the beach, the bay, the pool! The landscaping and flowers were beautiful, the food was excellent! Lovely location!
We were only able to stay one evening & it was very enjoyable; however, I feel that some of the activities we would have enjoyed were not conveyed to me. I saw on a bulletin board that Yoga on the beach was on Mondays. I then noticed at check-out it was also offered on Wed. & Fri. I left on a Friday & would have really enjoyed that experience. There was also a Booked.net adventure we would have participated in, but once again I didn't know about it until too late. I suppose I'll just have to plan a return trip!

Location, nice room and balcony ( no ocean view but bay)
Children very noisy at the pool side and occupying hot tubs
